- 8 slices of whole wheat bread
- 8 slices of low fat provolone, I used Sargento's because it melts nicely
- 1 ripe on the vine tomato, washed and sliced thin
- 1 stick of butter, you will only use a tiny amount though
Rubbing the whole pan with butter will create burnt butter sections. I rub the butter just where I am going to put the bread so the butter doesn't sit in the pan burning while the bread is toasting.
